Fishie wishie, octopussie and sea horsie

Since Noah wouldn't be into flowers and hearts,

I had to put the thinking cap on

and think of some nice cool things to make him

for his bouncer.

Since last week, he has discovered that he can see!!

He was been sleeping less

and thinks he's going to miss out if he falls asleep.

The poor thing :(

So I made him

Octopussie (although it looks more like a squid!)

It was fun making them and didn't take too long to make them,

bit of ripping out and starting again a few times.

But they still came out ok.

Jasmine thinks there hers so I'll have to make her some in different colours,

you know, just in case!!

Jasmine's birthday

My baby...or should I now say my TODDLER
was 2 in May.

I had a wee party for her with her brothers and sister and her cousins. Since she was only 2, I didn't have a big party for her. Sure at that age they don't know the difference.
I made her a sponge cake, bought some rolled icing and some pens.
It was my first time to use rolled icing, since I can't make icing my self :(
It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to use.
Although, I had to roll it out a few times as my intial measurements were way off!!
Once I mastered it, I drew on Peppa Pig.
I was so PROUD of myself :)

Then to make it a proper party,
I made some rice crispie buns :)
A party isn't a party without them...well, a kids party anyway!!

Poor Jasmine was asleep when everyone called for the party
and we had to wake her for it.
She didn't like that very much,
but soon got into the party mood.

All in all it was a lovely afternoon.
As you can see, the other kids enjoyed it too!

I've been working on this for a few days

Its once of those projects that you absolutely love

I don't want to ever part with it at all

Now all I have to do

is to finish sewing all the squares together !

I have SO much yarn left over (and ones never used!)

I had to start doing some stash busting

maybe it could be a new years resolution.

New shoes

My baby got new shoes yesterday

and

she absolutely loves them.

She wore the purple ones

this morning

and the sparkle ones this evening !!

Crochet gift for Trisha

I made this cowl for my friend Trisha's birthday,

with the left-over yarn

I also made her daughter a lovely heart

Another friend saw it

and now

she wants one for herself

I am so happy for someone

to want one of my creations !

I can't wait to give it to her

My Baby likes to peel her OWN orange

As you can see from the pictures,

Jasmine likes to open her own oranges.

But,

today she discovered a SHORTCUT !

She peeled half of it

and

realised that she could start eating it

before she finished

peeling it.
